The Wall Street Journal Online
Content: The Online Journal is the Web's most successful subscription-based site, providing more than one-half million subscribers with the most comprehensive coverage of global business and financial news. The Online Journal includes all of the regular columns and features from the print edition of The Wall Street Journal and more! The site's continuously refreshed pages include up-to-date markets and news coverage as well as special content written exclusively for the online edition.
A subscription to the Online Journal includes:
• Complete coverage of global financial markets
• Extensive research and charting capabilities
• Current and historical stock quotes
• 90-day archived news
• Personalization features
• A variety of e-mail and alert services
Explore the site, using the convenient navigation bar, located on the left side of your screen. This handy tool will assist you in navigating the Online Journal's six main sections: News, Technology, Markets, Personal Journal, Opinion and Weekend & Leisure. The navigation bar guides you to and from any location on the site. You can also explore the site using the tabs located across the top of the Home page.
If you want to see the print newspaper, use the links beneath the Today's Newspaper link (on the navigation bar on the left side of the Online Journal screen and on the tab bar at the top of the Home page) for swift access to the full-text of the insightful stories and features that appear in the global editions of the print Wall Street Journal newspaper. The "Past Editions" link includes an invaluable 90-days worth of articles, columns and features from the print's U.S., Asian and European editions.
For your convenience, the Online Journal also provides two versions of an easy-to-read Site Map, listing the Online Journal's contents in your choice of either alphabetical order or by section.
Subscribers familiar with The Wall Street Journal newspaper will see some differences in organization online. This is because Internet technology presents more flexibility for organizing content on the Web than in newsprint. For instance, the Online Journal's Home page and the print newspaper's front page both contain the signature What's News column. However the Marketplace section, which is the second section of the print edition, isn't used as an organizational section online. Articles that appear in Marketplace are grouped online by subject, such as Technology or News by Industry. Similarly, some articles you'd find in the print's Money & Investing section would be found in either the Markets or Personal Journal sections of the Online Journal, depending upon the topic.
The Personal Journal section offers a close examination of issues that affect you and your family. You'll find all the articles from the print Personal Journal as well as daily online exclusives.
Use the Personal Journal Tools and Resources to calculate and plan your expenses. From buying a car to retirement planning, the Online Journal puts the tools and news you need directly at your fingertips!
Relax in the pages of Weekend & Leisure where you'll find feature stories on everything from sports to the theater. On Friday's you'll find the full contents of the Weekend Journal, including the ever-challenging Crossword Puzzle.
Contents of the innovative and refreshing Wall Street Journal Weekend Edition also are available online.
